The SHAAL Blanket Midweight is a handwoven lambswool blanket, 150×270 cm of 100% first-shearing wool, woven by hand on manual Khadi looms in the Swat Valley. A premium wool blanket in every sense: soft, breathable, naturally insulating, and built to outlive any synthetic throw.

At 230 GSM, the weave is light enough to use as a primary blanket through spring and autumn, and dense enough to layer over a heavier duvet in deep winter. Generous across a bed, sofa, or armchair - large enough to cover two.
The form is a pure rectangle, finished with subtle bands near the ends and traditional fringed edges. Each blanket carries an embroidered label, placed and stitched by hand.
No blends. No synthetics. No industrial finishing. Only lambswool, a loom, and a maker's hands.
The Roots
Handwoven in the Swat Valley, northern Pakistan - a wool textile centre for centuries, nestled between the Hindu Kush and Karakoram ranges.
Every SHAAL is woven on a manual Khadi loom by weavers known locally as Jollagan - a respected, generational trade. Up to 37 people contribute to a single piece.
Over 50,000 people in Swat depend on handloom production. We connect this craft to a global market so it stays commercially viable. Not a charity - a product we believe in, made by people who should be paid properly for it.
