What we collect

When you browse or buy from us, we may collect your name, email, phone number, delivery address, order history, payment information (processed securely by Shopify — we never store card details), and technical data like your IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

Why we collect it

To process and deliver your orders. To send shipping updates. To send marketing emails if you opted in. To improve our site. To prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

Legal basis (UK and EU customers)

We process your data based on contract (to fulfil your order), consent (for marketing — withdrawable anytime via the unsubscribe link), and legitimate interest (to improve our site and prevent fraud).

Who we share it with

Only third parties who help us operate: Shopify (e-commerce platform), Royal Mail and postal carriers (delivery), Google (analytics and ads, anonymised), Shopify Messaging (marketing emails), and Judge.me (review requests). We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for up to 6 years for UK tax purposes. Marketing emails are kept until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

UK and EU customers can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data, receive it in a portable format, withdraw marketing consent, or complain to the ICO or their local data protection authority. California residents can request to know what data we hold, request deletion, and opt out of data sales (we do not sell data). Email greg@shaal.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

By using shaal.uk or purchasing from us, you agree to these terms.

Products

All products are handwoven using traditional techniques. Slight variations in colour, texture, and dimensions are normal and not considered defects. Product images are as accurate as possible but may differ slightly due to screen settings.

Pricing

Prices are shown in your local currency where available and include VAT where applicable. Duties and import taxes for international orders are calculated at checkout. We may update prices at any time.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to stock availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud. Payment is processed at order through Shopify Payments. We accept major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and Klarna.

Shipping

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, postal services, or events beyond our control. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.

Returns

Returns accepted within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or defective. See our Shipping & Returns page for the full process.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — images, text, logos, video, and design — belongs to SHAAL Clothing LTD and is protected by copyright. Do not reproduce or distribute without written permission.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using this site or purchasing our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. EU consumers retain mandatory consumer protection rights under their country of residence.
